This Acceptable Use Policy ("Policy") governs how you may use BeBulbed Spark's Service. It supplements, and does not replace, Spark's Terms of Service, which remain the primary agreement between you and BeBulbed Spark (see the Terms of Service's Pre-Incorporation & Beta Notice for who that refers to during our current Beta period).

1. Overview

Spark is built on the premise that ideas should be evaluated on merit, discussed in good faith, and — when you choose — developed privately with people you trust. This Policy exists to protect that environment for everyone using the Service.

2. General Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Harass, threaten, or abuse other users;
  • Distribute malware, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to any account, system, or data;
  • Scrape, crawl, or use automated means to extract content or data from the Service without our written permission;
  • Circumvent rate limits, moderation actions, account suspensions, or other technical or operational controls; or
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service's normal operation for other users.

3. Content Standards

Content shared on Spark's public feed or within an organization workspace must not:

  • Violate applicable law;
  • Infringe the intellectual property or privacy rights of others;
  • Contain spam, or content whose primary purpose is unsolicited promotion; or
  • Impersonate another person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.

Because Spark's evaluation system is built on merit rather than popularity, attempting to manipulate peer evaluation — for example, through coordinated inauthentic voting, sockpuppet accounts, or paid engagement — undermines the integrity of the Service and is a violation of this Policy.

4. Trusted Circle Conduct

Trusted Circles exist to give you a private space to develop ideas with people you choose. Within a Trusted Circle, you agree not to:

  • Invite a collaborator for the purpose of harassing, doxxing, or otherwise targeting them;
  • Use a Trusted Circle invitation as a means to gain access to a person's public or organization-workspace content that you would not otherwise be entitled to see; or
  • Share content from a Trusted Circle outside that circle without the consent of the other participants.

This last point reflects a good-faith expectation among collaborators, not a technical guarantee — Spark restricts platform-level access to Trusted Circle content, but cannot control what a collaborator does with content after they have lawfully viewed it.

5. Platform Integrity

You agree not to attempt to bypass or circumvent the Service's content safety controls, including by attempting to upload disallowed file types, misrepresenting a file's format, or submitting files designed to exploit image-processing systems (for example, decompression-bomb-style or oversized files). Files that fail validation will be rejected.

6. Enforcement

We may investigate suspected violations of this Policy and take proportionate action, including removing content, restricting features, or suspending or terminating accounts, consistent with the enforcement terms of our Terms of Service. We have no obligation to proactively monitor or pre-screen content, but may do so at our discretion.

7. Reporting

If you encounter content or conduct that you believe violates this Policy, please report it through the in-product reporting tools, or contact us using the details below.

8. Contact

Questions about this Policy may be directed to legal@spark.bebulbed.com.
