This page supplements Spark's master Privacy Policy with disclosures required for visitors in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia under the Personal Data Protection Law ("PDPL") administered by the Saudi Data & Artificial Intelligence Authority ("SDAIA"). It does not restate rights already described in the master Privacy Policy — only what Saudi law adds.
1. Applicability
This page applies to you if you are located in Saudi Arabia.
2. Your Rights Under the PDPL
Under the PDPL, you have the right to:
- Be informed of the legal basis and purpose of collecting your personal data;
- Access your personal data;
- Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal data;
- Request destruction of personal data that is no longer necessary; and
- Withdraw your consent to processing at any time, where consent is our basis for processing.
3. Cross-Border Data Transfers
Spark is an Australian venture, and its production infrastructure is hosted in Australia (Google Cloud's australia-southeast1 region), not within Saudi Arabia (see our master Privacy Policy's Where We Process Your Information section). Consistent with the PDPL's cross-border transfer requirements, we will only transfer your personal data outside Saudi Arabia in a manner that maintains a standard of protection no less than that required under the PDPL, and, where required, in reliance on applicable SDAIA-approved transfer mechanisms.
4. How to Exercise Your Rights
You may exercise these rights by contacting us using the details in Section 7. We will respond within the timeframe required by the PDPL.
5. Arabic-Language Availability
An Arabic-language translation of this page and Spark's master Privacy Policy is planned and not yet published. If you would like to request an Arabic-language summary of either document in the meantime, contact us using the details in Section 7. In the event of any conflict between an Arabic translation and the English original, the English version published on this Site controls.
6. Clause Overrides
Spark's Terms of Service designate the courts of South Australia and the Federal Court of Australia as the forum for disputes, since Spark is an Australian venture. If mandatory Saudi consumer-protection law grants you a non-waivable right to bring a claim before a Saudi court or authority, that right is not overridden by this designation, and you may exercise it notwithstanding the Terms of Service.
